Problem

After the installation of an add-on or when re-enabling it again, you get the following error message in the Atlassian UPM:

This add-on failed to enable. Refer to the logs for more information.

In your server log you find an error like the following:

2015-12-04 14:51:58,758 ERROR [Timer-1] o.s.o.e.i.d.s.DependencyWaiterApplicationContextExecutor Unable to create application context for [ch.mibex.stash.prp], unsatisfied dependencies: Dependency on [(objectClass=com.atlassian.scheduler.SchedulerService)] (from bean [&schedulerService])

Solution

Errors like "unsatisfied dependencies" could be the result of installing a plug-in that is not suited for the version of the Atlassian product you have. Please check in the listing of the add-on on the Atlassian Marketplace if this add-on is compatible with your Atlassian product version.
