Error "PKIX path building failed"

Problem

Error "PKIX path building failed" can happen in either Sonar for Bitbucket or Sonar for Bamboo

Possible Causes:

• SSL certificate for SonarQube is not in JVM of either Bitbucket or Bamboo

• JVM versions < 1.8.0_151 not properly recognizing the certificate authority

• Using a self-signed certificate
