Access for GitLab

Access for GitLab

Confluence users may encounter an Authentication request when using Include GitLab for private projects.

Preview or Publish the page that the macro is on, then click the link to Authenticate and allow the app to access GitLab Cloud data.

This will only be required the first time using the app.

Access for GitLab Self Managed Instance

GitLab self managed instances are supported under these conditions:

  1. The GitLab site has to use HTTPS

  2. The site has to be accessible from the public internet. The firewall has to allow traffic from AWS to the GitLab instance.

The GitLab self managed instance has to be configured first:

  1. Navigate to: Confluence-Settings → Include GitLab.

  2. Follow the instructions on that page to configure the GitLab instance.

  3. After this configuration, you can use URLs to your GitLab self-managed instance.
