Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information Mibex Software GmbH ("vendor") collects about you and why in relation with the usage of one of our cloud apps. This policy applies to the Mibex Software GmbH cloud apps ("apps") only.

Scope of the Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the information that the vendor obtains through the use of the apps. By using the apps the user consents to the processing, storage, disclosure and other uses.

Information available to the vendor

Atlassian Marketplace Information

  • We have access to contact information such as name, email address, mailing address, and phone number
  • Billing information such as billing address, contacts
  • Sales statistics and other marketing-related information provided by Atlassian

Content

We collect and store data that you submit to us, such as data in surveys, activities, requests,  communication with third party social media sites or any other form of communication with us. For example, information regarding a problem you are experiencing with the app could be submitted to our issue tracker or sent via email.

Data Storage and Facilities

The vendor uses Heroku to host its cloud apps. The vendor is responsible for provisioning, monitoring and maintaining the Heroku infrastructure required to support the apps.

Log information and backups are stored on Heroku.

People and Access

Only Mibex Software GmbH developers or support engineers have access to the Heroku platform hosting our cloud apps. They only have access to the application data to perform system or application support purposes.

Backups

Daily backups of the entire platform are taken every 24 hours. 

Although the data center location of our Heroku applications is Europe (i.e., amazon-web-services::eu-west-1), Heroku backups of our Postgres database are stored in the U.S.

The vendor stores the absolute minimum of data to make the apps work. Nevertheless, you should be aware of this in case the app saves data (as it is described in its specific product page) which contains sensitive data which should not be stored in the U.S.


Information we collect from the usage of the apps

The vendor stores information and content (macros) generated from the apps on Heroku. 

How the information is used by the vendor

The vendor uses the information (except app content and information mentioned above) that it collects for a variety of purposes:

  • Provide, operate, maintain and improve the apps
  • Sending related information including release notes and feature newsletters

Information sharing and disclosure

The vendor does not share or disclose any of the collected information or content with third parties except as described in this policy. The vendor does not sell any information or content.

Service providers

The vendor works with third party service providers to provide website, application development, hosting, maintenance, backup, storage etc. These service providers may have access to process your information for the purpose of providing those services for the vendor. This list includes:

  • Mailchimp - For sending newsletters and release notes
  • Mailgun - For sending feedback and support mails
  • Heroku - For hosting the apps / backups
  • New Relic - For managing platform alerts

Changes to our Privacy Policy 

This policy document may change. Any changes to our privacy policy in the future will be posted to this page.

If you disagree with any changes to this Privacy Policy, you will need to stop the use of our cloud apps.
